Hiking In or around Cosby:
-Midnight Hole/Mouse Creek Falls (there is a nice swimming hole on this hike)
-Cosby Nature Trail
-Hen Wallow Falls (45’ waterfall, one of the tallest here, in the National park)
-Madden Bald -located off Hwy 321 at the end of Baxter Rd, limited parking
-Max Patch situated on the NC/TN line, renowned for its 360 degree views
-If you’re up for the 11 mile round trip hike, the 360 degree views from the Mt. Cammerer Fire Tower are well worth it! Snowbird Mountain, Mt. Sterling, and of course, the Smoky Mountains are all visible from the almost 5,000 foot high tower! The octagonal fire tower was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps using hand-cut stone in the 1930s.

-The Motor Nature Trail is a great drive to see wildlife & beautiful scenery. There are also several trailheads along the loop to hike, if you choose. This drive is similar to Cades Cove, but shorter in length and closer in distance.
-Cades Cove is a scenic loop located within the National
park. It is a bit of a drive and can get crowded. If you go, be prepared to make a day of it and pack a lot of patience. Wednesday is a no car day in the Cove if you want to walk or bike, this is a great time to do it.
-Greenbrier area of the National Park is located in Pittman Center. This is a great place to swim, rock hop, hike, etc.
